Got Questions?

I’ve got answers. Let’s put your money worries to rest once and for all!

Q:  What is money coaching?

Money coaching is the combination of practical and emotional guidance around money.  Money is a very personal topic and many people struggle managing their finances.  I help clients develop a positive relationship with money while teaching meaningful tools to managing money.

Q:  Is money coaching similar to financial planning?

No.  Money Coaching is not the same as financial planning.  I do not buy or sell any financial instruments. I do not manage any portfolios or give advice on retirement accounts.  If you would like to talk to a Financial Planner, I can provide some wonderful referrals.

Q:  How much does it cost?

Coaching Packages run from $997 to $1599.

Q:  How do I know if this is the right time for me to start?

That is a great question!!  If you are tired of feeling stress and anxiety about money and want to find a better way to live your life then now is a good time to do something about it!!  It is always hard to step out of your comfort zone and do something new.  It does take commitment and perseverance but if you’re ready, I’m ready!!  I will help you feel confident and secure about your money so you can enjoy your life.  We will create a money plan that works and feels good to you.  When you’re not worrying and stressing about money, you can look beyond the numbers and find out what you really want out of your life. You will feel prepared and empowered and ready to make a difference in the world.  There is a whole world waiting for you on the other side of living paycheck to paycheck.

Q:  Why should I hire a money coach?

If you want to get better at something, you need to hire an SME (Subject matter Expert- aka coach).  An SME (aka. Coach) is someone who is good at what they do, passionate about what they do and want to make a difference in their clients lives.  If you want to get in shape, you should hire a fitness coach, if you want to eat better, hire a nutrition coach, if you want to get your money in shape, hire a money coach.  Coaches are good at what they do because they believe in it and they know a lot about their area of expertise.   Coaches also help with one of the most important parts of being successful and that is accountability.  In order to be successful, you need someone to keep you on track, help you understand your goals, and support you during the ups and downs of the process.

Q:  What is the number #1 reason people come to you?

There are actually a lot of reasons why people come to me but some of the top reasons I hear are:

  1. I want to get control of my money
  2. I want to get rid of my credit card debt
  3. I want to save money.

These are all really great reasons but the truth is that people just want a good, secure, and happy life.  Money can help solve a lot of problems but at the end of the day it does not make people truly happy.  It is important to understand what is important to you and align your financial goals to what is important to you.  During our time together, we will work on both the mental and practical aspects of money in order to achieve your goals.

Q:  How long do you typically work with clients?

I typically work with clients for a minimum of 3 months.  Three months give us time to develop a solid money plan, understand how habits contribute to goals, create a credit card reduction plan, create a savings plans and get solid understanding for your financial goals. The more time I have to work with clients, the better but 3 months is a great start!  Many clients like to keep going after 3 months because they start to make good progress and want the continued support and accountability.

Q:  How often do we meet?

For the first few months, I recommend that we meet once a week.  It generally takes 3-6 months for clients to be on a steady path to financial wellness.  After we have been working together for a few months, we can adjust the frequency of your appointments based on our work together.

Q:  How long is a session?

Coaching sessions usually last 60 minutes.

Q:  Why do you specialize in young professional women?

I am now married and a mom with young children but I understand how hard it is to navigate the financial world in your 20’s and 30’s.  As a young woman, it can be hard to know which way to go and what choices to make and how it will all affect your financial health.  As a young professional woman, I made plenty of my own money mistakes and it would have been nice if I had a mentor to support and guide me toward better money choices.  My vision is to help women so that they can feel prepared and confident about their financial decisions and look beyond the money toward what they really want to achieve in their lives.
